Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 August 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of NordBalticum, including our website, web wallet interfaces, native mobile wallet applications, self-custody wallet software, blockchain connectivity, transaction tools, security features, Explore and dApp browser functionality, and related software services. By accessing or using NordBalticum, you agree to these Terms.
NordBalticum is operated by Nord Baltic Capital, UAB, a private limited liability company incorporated in Lithuania. In these Terms, “NordBalticum”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Nord Baltic Capital, UAB.
NordBalticum is software for self-custody use. It is not a bank, deposit account, custodial wallet, proprietary crypto exchange, trading venue, broker, portfolio manager, investment platform or investment adviser. Except where expressly stated for a particular feature and permitted by applicable law, NordBalticum does not take possession or control of user crypto-assets and does not make investment decisions or transact on a user's behalf.
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You may use NordBalticum only if you are legally permitted to use self-custody wallet software, blockchain networks and any third-party services you choose to access in your jurisdiction. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher.
By using NordBalticum, you represent that your use is lawful and that you are not prohibited from using the relevant software or services under applicable sanctions, export-control, financial-crime or other laws. You are responsible for complying with laws applicable to you.
2. What NordBalticum provides
NordBalticum provides self-custody wallet software and supporting software services. Depending on the product version and device, features may include wallet creation or import, balances and transaction history, user-authorized transfers, network connectivity, security controls, portfolio information, rewards, optional staking access, fiat-to-crypto access and access to independent third-party services.
The NordBalticum web wallet is available through browser-based interfaces designed for supported mobile, desktop and handset-PC layouts. NordBalticum also provides a separate native mobile wallet application for supported Android devices through Google Play. An iOS version may be made available in the future. Feature availability, security capabilities and third-party integrations may differ between web and native versions.
Product descriptions, interface labels and technical conveniences do not change the legal or operational nature of a feature. The actual transaction flow, the party providing a third-party service and the user's own authorization determine how a particular interaction operates.
3. Self-custody and control of your wallet
NordBalticum is self-custody wallet software. You control whether a transaction or other protected wallet action is authorized from your wallet. NordBalticum does not know your wallet PIN and cannot authorize blockchain transactions on your behalf without your action through the wallet interface.
Your wallet PIN remains on your device and is not sent to NordBalticum servers or provided to third-party services. NordBalticum does not use your PIN for support, analytics, advertising or third-party integrations.
NordBalticum cannot independently freeze, seize, spend or transfer crypto-assets from your self-custody wallet, and cannot reverse a confirmed blockchain transaction merely because it was made through NordBalticum.
4. Wallet creation and recovery
Recovery options depend on the wallet type and feature you use. Some NordBalticum-created wallets do not provide a recovery phrase. You are responsible for understanding the recovery options presented to you and for protecting any wallet credentials or backups under your control.
If you import an existing wallet, you are responsible for the source, accuracy, security and any independent backup of the credentials you use. Importing or using a wallet through NordBalticum does not make NordBalticum the custodian of that wallet or its crypto-assets.
5. PIN, biometrics and wallet access
Your wallet PIN is a user-controlled security credential used on your device. NordBalticum does not know your PIN, cannot retrieve it for you and does not provide it to Stakely, Stripe, Explore services or other third parties.
Where supported, you may choose to use biometric authentication for wallet access. Biometric verification is handled by your device. We do not receive your fingerprint, face template or other biometric template.
If you lose access to credentials or recovery methods required for a self-custody wallet, NordBalticum may be unable to restore access on your behalf. Security controls may also temporarily restrict repeated access attempts.
6. Your security responsibilities
You are responsible for protecting your device, operating-system account, email account, NordBalticum account access, PIN, imported wallet credentials and any other authentication method under your control. Do not disclose your PIN or private wallet credentials to another person.
Loss, theft, compromise, malware, screen sharing, malicious accessibility software, a rooted or otherwise compromised device, unauthorized email access, disclosure of your PIN, device failure or loss of access to your registered email may result in loss of wallet access or crypto-assets. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NordBalticum is not responsible for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by compromise of credentials, devices or accounts controlled by you.
No software security system can eliminate every risk. You must verify addresses, networks, assets, amounts, permissions, smart-contract calls and transaction details before authorizing them.
7. Transaction preparation, authorization and signing
NordBalticum may provide software that helps you enter transaction information, calculate or estimate network costs, prepare transaction data, display a human-readable review, connect to blockchain infrastructure and broadcast a transaction after it has been authorized and signed.
You choose the transaction details presented through the applicable flow and decide whether to proceed. A blockchain transaction requiring your authorization must be approved by you through the wallet interface. NordBalticum does not know your PIN and cannot approve the transaction on your behalf.
For supported transfers, the software may construct the recipient transfer and a separately disclosed NordBalticum service-fee transfer as part of the transaction flow. You review the relevant amounts and authorize the required blockchain transaction or transactions using your own wallet credential. NordBalticum does not sign them on your behalf.
Once a signed transaction is submitted, confirmation, ordering, execution, failure and finality are determined by the relevant blockchain, validator set, sequencer, smart contract or other infrastructure. NordBalticum cannot guarantee confirmation or reverse blockchain finality.
8. NordBalticum service fee
NordBalticum may charge a disclosed service fee for supported transaction functionality. The service fee compensates NordBalticum for providing and maintaining wallet software, security and signing infrastructure, transaction preparation and review tools, blockchain connectivity, transaction broadcasting support, operational infrastructure, development and related platform functionality.
For transaction flows to which a NordBalticum service fee applies, the applicable fee or calculation is presented in the transaction flow before authorization where technically practicable. By proceeding and authorizing the relevant transaction or transactions, you agree to the displayed or applicable service fee.
A NordBalticum service fee is a charge for use of our software and infrastructure. It does not by itself give NordBalticum custody of your wallet, authority to transact without you, discretion to select an investment for you or authority to sign with your self-custody credential.
Blockchain gas, validator fees and fees charged by independent third-party services are separate from NordBalticum's service fee unless expressly stated otherwise. Fees may be non-refundable once a blockchain transaction has been validly authorized and submitted, subject to mandatory law.
9. Native Explore and dApp browser
The native NordBalticum wallet may include Explore and an isolated dApp browser that provides optional access to selected independent third-party websites and applications. Explore is a convenience and interoperability feature; the third-party applications are not operated by NordBalticum merely because they are accessible through the wallet.
NordBalticum selects which third-party services may be made available through Explore using product, security, legal and operational criteria, and may remove or disable a service at any time. Inclusion in Explore is not a guarantee, certification, continuous audit, investment recommendation, assurance of solvency or regulatory status, or a representation that a service is appropriate for you.
You independently choose whether to open Explore, which available provider to visit, whether to connect your wallet, which service to use, which asset or network to use, what amount or parameters to enter, whether to accept the provider's terms and whether to authorize a requested transaction or signature. NordBalticum does not direct you to a provider, select a route, asset, amount, strategy or transaction for you, or decide whether or when you should transact.
Third-party applications provide their own content, quotes, routes, protocols, smart contracts, terms, privacy practices and services. Your use of those services is a direct, voluntary interaction between you and the relevant provider, subject to that provider's terms and applicable law.
NordBalticum provides the wallet connection and authorization interface for supported third-party requests. You decide whether to approve or reject each request. NordBalticum does not provide the third-party service with your PIN, private wallet credentials or biometric authentication data.
NordBalticum does not currently receive compensation merely because you browse or use an independent dApp through Explore. Explore is provided for user choice and convenience rather than as a paid routing or order-direction service. You remain responsible for deciding whether to use any third-party service and for reviewing every request before approval.
10. Independent third-party services
A third-party provider is responsible for the service it provides, including its terms, privacy practices, licences or registrations, eligibility rules, geographic restrictions, KYC or AML requirements, sanctions controls, fees, quotes, smart contracts, liquidity, execution and support.
NordBalticum does not control independent dApps, protocols, smart contracts, validators, liquidity sources, bridges, payment providers or other external infrastructure. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NordBalticum is not responsible for a third party's acts or omissions, service availability, security failure, quote, route, slippage, price impact, smart-contract behaviour, transaction result, insolvency, compliance decision or data processing.
Your relationship with an independent provider is governed by that provider's terms and applicable law. You should read those terms and disclosures before using the provider.
11. No NordBalticum swap or exchange service
NordBalticum does not operate a proprietary swap service, crypto exchange, order book, matching engine, liquidity pool or trading venue. NordBalticum does not act as principal or counterparty to an exchange of crypto-assets with you.
Independent third-party dApps accessible through Explore may themselves offer swaps, bridges or other crypto-asset functionality. If you choose to use such functionality, you interact with the relevant third party and authorize any resulting wallet request yourself. The presence of third-party swap or bridge functionality does not turn it into a NordBalticum swap or bridge service.
12. Staking access through Stakely
NordBalticum provides optional access to staking functionality supported by STAKELY, S.L. (“Stakely”), an independent staking infrastructure provider incorporated in Spain (NIF ESB72551682; registered office C/Ferraz 2, 2º Izq, 28008 Madrid, Spain). Stakely provides the relevant provider-side staking infrastructure and services.
NordBalticum provides the self-custody wallet interface through which you may choose to access Stakely. Using this feature does not give NordBalticum custody of your crypto-assets or authority to decide or transact for you.
If you choose to use Stakely through NordBalticum, your use of Stakely's service is also subject to Stakely's current Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. By choosing to initiate a Stakely staking action through NordBalticum, you agree to comply with Stakely's applicable Terms of Use and acknowledge Stakely's Privacy Policy to the extent applicable to the service you use. Stakely's Terms include service-specific provisions for Integrated Staking. You should read those documents before using the service. If you do not agree to Stakely's applicable terms, do not use the Stakely staking feature.
Staking through NordBalticum remains user-directed. You decide whether to use staking, which supported asset and network to use, the amount or parameters to enter, and whether to approve or reject the resulting request. NordBalticum does not determine how much you should stake, make a staking decision for you, manage a staking portfolio or sign a staking transaction on your behalf.
Information reasonably necessary to provide the staking interaction may be exchanged with Stakely and the relevant blockchain or protocol. You remain responsible for reviewing the requested action and deciding whether to authorize it through your self-custody wallet.
Your NordBalticum PIN, private wallet credentials and biometric authentication data are not provided to Stakely. Public wallet, transaction and network information required for the action may be processed by Stakely, the relevant blockchain and supporting infrastructure. No staking action is initiated by NordBalticum on your behalf without your decision to proceed.
Stakely and the applicable blockchain or protocol are responsible for provider-side validator or protocol infrastructure, protocol rules, reward methodology, commissions, lock-up, cooldown or unbonding conditions, withdrawal availability, slashing rules, smart contracts and service availability. NordBalticum does not control protocol governance or guarantee any staking outcome.
Staking can involve validator failure, slashing, smart-contract or software risk, protocol changes, cooldown or unbonding periods, liquidity or depegging risk, reward changes, network congestion, third-party dependencies and loss of some or all crypto-assets. Any displayed APR, APY, reward rate, estimate or historical information is informational only and is not a promise of return, recommendation or investment advice.
13. Partner relationships and commercial disclosures
NordBalticum has a commercial partnership with Stakely in connection with the staking integration. Under that business-to-business arrangement, NordBalticum may receive a revenue share or other commercial compensation from Stakely attributable to qualifying staking activity initiated by users who voluntarily choose to use the Stakely integration.
This commercial relationship does not give NordBalticum custody of your crypto-assets, authority to accept Stakely's terms for you, discretion to determine whether you should stake, power to choose the asset or amount for you, or an independent credential with which to sign a transaction. Any user-facing network fee, protocol fee, validator commission or other provider-side charge remains governed by the applicable protocol and Stakely's disclosures.
Stakely is currently the integrated staking provider described in these Terms. You are free not to use staking at all. NordBalticum does not present the existence of the partnership as a personalized recommendation, promise of returns or representation that staking is suitable for you.
The native Explore feature is separate from the Stakely staking integration. NordBalticum does not currently receive compensation merely because you browse or use independent dApps made available through Explore.
NordBalticum may enter into other commercial arrangements with independent providers in the future where permitted by applicable law. A commercial relationship will not be used to give NordBalticum discretionary authority over a user's self-custody assets or to disguise an activity that would require regulatory authorization. Where a commercial relationship is materially relevant to a user's choice or creates a potential conflict of interest, we will provide an appropriate disclosure where required by applicable law.
NordBalticum may decline, restrict, redesign or discontinue an integration where reasonably necessary for security, legal, regulatory, technical or operational reasons, including to preserve the intended self-custody software model.
14. Fiat purchase and Stripe services
NordBalticum may provide an optional fiat-to-crypto purchase entry point through Stripe, an independent third-party payment and crypto on-ramp provider. Stripe operates the provider-side purchase flow and is responsible for payment processing, identity verification, applicable sanctions and compliance screening, fraud controls, eligibility and other provider-side requirements applicable to its service. NordBalticum does not independently process your card payment, hold client fiat funds, operate a payment account or perform Stripe's KYC/AML checks.
If you choose to use Stripe, your use of its service is subject to the terms, disclosures and privacy notice presented by Stripe for your location and transaction, including Stripe's Crypto Onramp Terms where applicable and its Privacy Policy. You choose whether to use Stripe and whether to complete a purchase. Stripe and any service provider identified in its flow may accept, reject, delay, limit or cancel the service in accordance with their applicable terms and legal obligations.
Any exchange rate, quote, provider fee, payment-method availability, transaction limit, settlement, crypto delivery, refund or dispute handling associated with the Stripe service is governed by the applicable Stripe flow and provider terms. NordBalticum does not guarantee that a Stripe transaction will be available or completed.
15. Market data, balances and informational content
Prices, balances, token metadata, transaction history, network status, gas estimates, staking information and other data may be obtained from blockchains or independent data and infrastructure providers. Such information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable and should not be treated as a guaranteed statement of value or execution.
Displaying an asset, network, provider, protocol or opportunity does not constitute endorsement, listing approval, investment advice, solicitation or a representation that it is suitable or lawful for every user.
16. No investment, financial, legal or tax advice
NordBalticum does not provide investment advice, portfolio management, personalized recommendations, financial planning, legal advice, tax advice or accounting advice. Nothing in the application is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, stake, lend, borrow, bridge, transfer or otherwise transact in a crypto-asset.
You make your own decisions and are responsible for evaluating suitability, risk, tax treatment, reporting obligations and legal consequences. If you require professional advice, obtain it from an appropriately qualified independent adviser.
17. Regulatory scope
NordBalticum is designed and operated as self-custody wallet software and software infrastructure. Our intended role is limited to the functionality described in these Terms and not to taking custody or control of client crypto-assets, independently executing client investment decisions, operating a trading venue or providing investment advice.
Regulatory classification depends on applicable law and the actual operation of a service, not solely on labels used in these Terms. NordBalticum may modify, restrict or discontinue functionality where reasonably necessary to maintain the intended product scope or comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
Nothing in these Terms is a representation that a particular third-party provider is authorised, exempt or legally available in every jurisdiction. Where an independent provider performs a regulated service, that provider is responsible for its own authorisations and obligations, subject to applicable law.
18. Rewards, referrals and partners
NordBalticum may operate rewards, referral and approved-partner programs under separately displayed eligibility rules. Rewards may be calculated by reference to eligible NordBalticum platform service-fee revenue, promotional criteria or other disclosed program rules.
Participation does not create an employment, agency, brokerage, fiduciary or investment-advisory relationship. Participants must not make misleading statements, promise investment returns, impersonate NordBalticum or market the service in violation of applicable law.
NordBalticum may withhold, adjust or cancel rewards where reasonably necessary because of fraud, self-referral abuse, duplicate or automated accounts, prohibited activity, calculation error, chargeback, legal restriction or breach of program terms. Program rates, eligibility and availability may change or be discontinued.
19. Blockchain and smart-contract risks
Crypto-assets and blockchain technology involve substantial risk. Risks include price volatility, total loss of value, incorrect addresses, incompatible networks, malicious tokens, phishing, smart contract vulnerabilities, protocol exploits, validator or sequencer failures, forks, governance changes, network congestion, RPC failure, liquidity shortages, bridge failures, transaction reversion and irreversible transactions.
Public blockchains and independent protocols operate outside NordBalticum's control. We cannot guarantee network uptime, confirmation time, gas costs, protocol behaviour, liquidity, asset value or recovery from a failed or malicious third-party interaction.
20. Transaction review and irreversible actions
Our Transaction Flow. When you make a supported transfer through NordBalticum, you are responsible for entering the recipient address and transaction amount and for checking that the selected network, asset, recipient and amount are correct. Before authorization, NordBalticum presents the available transaction details for your review, including applicable service and network-fee information where available. You must review those details yourself and decide whether to proceed. The transaction is authorized and signed only through your self-custody wallet security flow using your PIN or, where supported and enabled, biometric authorization. NordBalticum cannot approve or sign the transaction on your behalf. Blockchain transactions may be irreversible, so you should not authorize a transfer until you are satisfied that the displayed details are correct.
dApp Browser Requests. When interacting with an independent third-party application through the dApp browser, you must separately review the destination, contract, network, asset, amount, permissions and other details presented for the requested transaction or signature. A malicious or overly broad token approval, contract interaction or signature can expose assets even if no transfer is immediately visible. Security warnings and human-readable transaction information are protective tools, not guarantees. You must not approve a request you do not understand, recognize or expect.
21. Supported networks, assets and feature changes
NordBalticum may add, remove, hide, disable or change support for networks, tokens, RPC endpoints, providers, integrations or product features for security, technical, legal, compliance, operational or business reasons.
We do not guarantee continued support for a particular asset, network or third-party application. Changes to a blockchain or third-party protocol may occur without NordBalticum's involvement.
22. Account access, suspension and security measures
NordBalticum may restrict or suspend access to hosted application functionality, accounts, rewards, support channels or integrations where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, sanctions compliance, fraud prevention, legal compliance or protection of the service. Security controls may apply an immediate automated restriction where high-confidence evidence indicates account or session abuse, ban evasion, cryptographic replay/tampering or comparable material security risk. A single weak signal such as an IP address, browser description or ordinary failed request is not, by itself, treated as sufficient for a permanent account ban. Automated bans are retained for administrative review and may be confirmed, removed or classified as a false positive.
Restricting access to NordBalticum's hosted software does not give NordBalticum ownership of crypto-assets controlled by a self-custody key and does not create an ability for NordBalticum to sign blockchain transactions without the required wallet credential.
23. Prohibited use
You may not use NordBalticum for unlawful activity, sanctions violations, money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, scams, market abuse, theft, unauthorized access, malware distribution, exploitation of systems, evasion of lawful controls or other activity prohibited by applicable law.
You may not attack or interfere with NordBalticum infrastructure, abuse rewards or referral systems, manipulate platform functionality, attempt unauthorized access to another user's account or wallet, or use automated or deceptive methods that materially impair the service.
24. Availability, maintenance and updates
NordBalticum may update, maintain, suspend or discontinue all or part of the software. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the application, blockchain networks, RPC services, market data, third-party applications or other external infrastructure.
Updates may be required for security or compatibility. Using an outdated application, unsupported operating system or modified device may increase risk or prevent features from working correctly.
25. No warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NordBalticum is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every device or network, accuracy of third-party information, transaction confirmation, asset value or fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits any warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
26. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NordBalticum and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses arising from use of the software, including loss caused by user error, compromised credentials, unauthorized device access, malware, phishing, blockchain failure, smart-contract failure, third-party services, market movements, network fees, liquidity conditions or irreversible transactions.
NordBalticum is not responsible for a user's forgotten PIN, loss of access to a registered email account, loss or compromise of a device, disclosure of credentials, or failure to maintain any independent backup available for an imported wallet, except to the extent a loss is directly attributable to NordBalticum and liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
27. Indemnity for unlawful or abusive use
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses, claims or reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of NordBalticum, your material breach of these Terms or your violation of another person's rights. This section does not limit rights available to consumers under mandatory law.
28. Privacy and data processing
Your use of NordBalticum is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy describes the account, technical, security and other personal data processed in connection with the service and the role of relevant third-party providers.
NordBalticum may process account, wallet-related application and public blockchain information as described in the Privacy Policy. Wallet authorization remains under your control. NordBalticum does not provide your PIN, private wallet credentials or biometric authentication data to Stakely, Stripe, Explore services or other external providers.
29. Intellectual property
NordBalticum software, branding, interface materials and related content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the available NordBalticum software for its intended purpose.
Open-source software and third-party materials remain subject to their respective licences and terms.
30. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect product, security, legal, regulatory or operational changes. Where required by applicable law, we will provide appropriate notice. Continued use after an update becomes effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
31. Governing law and mandatory consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to mandatory rights and protections that apply to consumers under the law of their country of residence or other applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a mandatory right to bring proceedings before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
32. Severability and entire agreement
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. These Terms, together with policies and feature-specific terms expressly incorporated into them, form the agreement governing your use of NordBalticum.
