Wallet setup guide

How do you create a crypto wallet responsibly?

Create it on a device you control, understand the recovery method before funding it, and treat the first transaction as a verification exercise. NordBalticum guides account access and wallet setup as separate steps so ownership is clear from the beginning.

  • Start free
  • No card required
  • Fund only after recovery is ready
01

Use a trusted device

Begin on a device and browser profile you control and keep updated.

02

Protect recovery offline

Store the information needed for recovery away from email, cloud notes and public photos.

03

Test the complete flow

Receive a small amount, verify it, then test a small send before relying on the wallet.

Account access comes first

NordBalticum uses account authentication to establish your user session. This is not the same thing as custody of your wallet. The wallet then creates its own protected access and device authorization.

Use an email account you can secure long-term. If optional MFA is available to you, enable it before your wallet holds meaningful value.

Do not skip the recovery moment

Recovery information is not ordinary profile data. Keep it offline, private and readable. Do not paste it into support chats or share it with anyone claiming they need it to verify your wallet.

NordBalticum cannot use your recovery information to move assets and cannot recreate information you fail to preserve.

Security, in plain English

Controls with defined responsibilities

Separate login and wallet protection

Account access alone is not treated as automatic wallet authorization.

Approved-device model

New wallet devices use an explicit approval or recovery path.

Sensitive-action confirmation

High-impact actions can require fresh wallet confirmation and optional MFA.

Clear answers

Frequently asked

Does creating a wallet require buying crypto?

No. You can create protected wallet access before acquiring or receiving any crypto asset.

Should I photograph my recovery information?

Avoid ordinary cloud-synced photos or notes. Keep recovery material private and offline in a form you can preserve.

Why start with a small transfer?

It lets you verify the address, network and workflow with limited exposure if you made a mistake.
