What should a Polygon wallet make clear before you send?
It should make the Polygon PoS network, asset and fee currency explicit. NordBalticum presents Polygon as its own supported network, keeps wallet access under your control and helps you review the destination, amount and POL network fee before authorization.

EVM-compatible addresses
01
Polygon remains a distinct chain
An EVM-style address can look familiar, but Polygon balances and transactions live on Polygon PoS.
02
POL funds network activity
Token transfers and contract actions normally require enough POL for the blockchain fee.
03
The receiving route must match
An exchange or wallet must explicitly support the Polygon route selected for the asset.
Why address format is not enough
Polygon PoS uses the familiar EVM address format, but that does not merge it with Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum or another EVM network. Each chain has separate balances, transaction history and fee conditions.
When withdrawing from an exchange or sending to another service, match both the destination address and the network label. The recipient's supported deposit route is the decisive instruction.
Plan for POL and token identity
POL is used for transaction fees on Polygon PoS. A token balance can be visible while a transfer remains unavailable because the wallet does not have enough native fee currency.
For tokens such as USDC, also verify the contract and the recipient's supported Polygon version. The ticker alone does not establish that two token routes are interchangeable.

Polygon access with the chain and fee asset visible
Keep the Polygon route, token identity, destination and POL fee in one deliberate decision.
Practical flow
What to do next
1
Select Polygon
Set Polygon PoS as the active network before choosing an asset or address.
2
Match the recipient route
Confirm the receiving service supports that asset on Polygon.
3
Review POL fee and destination
Keep enough POL for gas and verify the final transaction summary.
Security, in plain English
Controls with defined responsibilities
Device-aware wallet access
Wallet authorization remains separate from ordinary account sign-in.
Explicit network context
Polygon is presented as a specific chain rather than a generic EVM balance.
Final user authorization
The wallet action is not broadcast until the required confirmation is complete.
Clear answers
Frequently asked
Does Polygon use POL for fees?
Polygon PoS network activity normally uses POL as the native fee asset.
Is a Polygon address the same as an Ethereum address?
The format can be the same, but the networks, balances and transactions are separate.
Can NordBalticum reverse a Polygon transfer?
No. A confirmed blockchain transaction cannot be reversed by the wallet provider.
